The US General Services Administration is a central management agency that sets Federal policy in such areas as Federal procurement, real property management, and information resources management. Founded in 1949, the agency is headquartered in Washington DC with regional offices in 11 US states.
Under the GSA Schedules (also referred to as Multiple Award Schedules and Federal Supply Schedules) Program, GSA establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to over four million commercial services and products. These can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors or through the GSA Advantage! online shopping and ordering system. GSA Schedules offer customers direct delivery of millions of state-of-the-art, high-quality commercial services and products at volume discount pricing. The "Schedules & Other Services & Products" link lists commercial services and products available under GSA Schedules and other GSA contracts. All customers, even those in remote locations, can order the latest technology and quality services and products, conveniently, and at the most-favored customer price. GSA Schedules also offer the potential benefits of shorter lead-times, lower administrative costs, and reduced inventories. Agencies have the opportunity to meet small business goals, while promoting compliance with various environmental and socioeconomic laws and regulations.
There has never been a better time to do contracting with the Federal Government through a GSA Schedule. Why are GSA schedules so important in federal sales? How does a company obtain and manage a schedule? To learn more about the GSA and make the most of your schedule, contact services@mpi-corp.com or visit the GSA's website at www.gsa.gov. |
