David A. Izatt, Inventor of Arxceo’s anomaly-based intrusion prevention technology, to discuss new patent-pending approaches to detect and stop network worms, and protect wireless access points
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., November 29, 2005 – David A. Izatt, a respected authority on anomaly-based intrusion prevention will discuss two anti-reconnaissance approaches for worm defense and securing wireless access points with security professionals at RSA® Conference 2006. Izatt is the Technology Architect and co-founder of Arxceo™ Corporation, a provider of anomaly-based intrusion prevention and anti-reconnaissance technology.
RSA Conference will provide the audience of over 14,000 front-line IT staff, IT managers, developers, policy makers, security experts and company executives the opportunity to increase their personal knowledge, share valuable insights with colleagues and be the first to see new network security technologies. The Conference will be held Feb. 13-17 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
“Signature-based security has come a long way, but cannot be relied on for preventing and containing brand-new network worm attacks,” said Izatt. “Additionally, anomaly prevention technology to date has also been limited in scope and effectiveness. It is possible to significantly increase both the accuracy and speed in preventing worm attacks by dynamically creating signatures using a new propagation detection model.”
“Mr. Izatt’s expertise and perspective will surely add to our War Against Worms and Security for the Mobile Workforce panels,” said Sandra Toms LaPedis, area vice president and general manager, RSA Conferences. “Anyone looking to learn more about anomaly-based intrusion prevention will benefit from these discussions.”
RSA Conference received over 1900 speaker submissions to fill approximately 200 sessions. The Conference will feature over 275 exhibitors who represent the top companies in the industry.
